Biography
Romain is a relational therapist specialising in couples work, bringing compassion and curiosity to each individual as she thoughtfully explores how inner worlds and family-of-origin experiences shape relational patterns. Her approach is warm, empowering, and collaborative, balancing sensitivity with accountability. She offers a grounding presence and a safe space for emotional expression, supporting clients to move beyond insight, step out of disconnecting patterns, and into more secure ways of relating.
She believes deeply in our lifelong capacity for change, and that lasting, loving relationships are defined not by the absence of conflict, but by repair, shared responsibility, and the ongoing choice of connection.
Romain works with couples and individuals navigating complex relational dynamics, including communication breakdowns, intimacy and trust issues, neurodivergence, parenting, work-related stress, trauma, and cultural differences. Her practice is evidence-based, intersectional, and trauma-informed, drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), and the Gottman Method. She works with deep respect for each client’s history and is committed to inclusivity, welcoming individuals from diverse cultural, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent backgrounds.
Alongside her therapeutic practice, she is passionate about employee wellbeing, nurturing future talent, and community fundraising through corporate leadership initiatives. She also brings a distinct cross-cultural perspective shaped by living and working overseas, and is bilingual in English and Sinhalese.
